‘The Big-un’ immobilises both steering wheel and pedals and severely restricts access to the drivers seat. It is secured in position by locating the shaft through the steering wheel and locking the case hardened shackle around the clutch or brake pedals.

Fitted with an internal lock which is both anti-drill and anti-pick, ‘The Big-un’ has undergone Thatcham’s rigorous 21 point laboratory test and has been demonstrated to comply with The British Insurance Industry’s Criteria For Vehicle Security (issue 2) and is classified as THATCHAM CATEGORY L3 & H3 TML - 68/1201, covering all vehicle types including LCV’s, HGV’s, PSV’s, heavy plant, construction equipment, agricultural vehicles, 4 x 4’s and mobile motorcaravans.

At 1.2 metres long and a diameter of 51mm, along with a highly visible yellow powder-coat finish, this should act as a substantial visual deterrent to any would-be thieves. Available in two styles; RIGID - for use where direct access is available from steering wheel through to pedals and; FLEXI - which has a universal joint allowing fitting where obstructions such as low shelves or dashboard protrusions come between the steering wheel and pedals. Both styles are equipped with an adjustable foot which allows setting of the shackle height (up to 32mm of movement) to suit vehicle specific pedal height. This, along with an optional double shackle (which locks both brake and clutch) offers cost effective versatility, as the unit can be transferred from vehicle to vehicle.
